Electrocardiogram is capturing waveforms of the heart on paper. It is using to diagnose heart beat abnormalities, heart chamber swelling new or old heart attack.
It is simply sonography of the heart where there is direct imaging of heart chamber, valves etc. It is used to diagnose heart pumping function, valve abnormalities and heart chamber size.
Here patient is made to run on a treadmill to increase heart beat and we look for changes in continuous ECG to know if there is any decrease blood supply to the heart.
This is for patients who cannot run on treadmill, we increase the heart beat by giving injection of drug call Dobutamine.
It is computerized recording of ECG for 24 hour to look for abnormalities of heart rhythm. Holter machine is put on patient and send home ,to be called again after 24 hours for analysis.
It is 72 hour monitoring of heart rhythm. Here a disposable patch is sticked on patient chest connected to mobile app. Patch can be removed at home. Report is generated 24 hours after patch is removed.
Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring, here a pressure cuff is attached on patients are connected to a monitor fit on chest. BP reading are taking at regular interval over 24 hours. Use to diagnose uncontrolled BP or nocturnal BP and to look for 24 hours BP control.
